#1 – Be a Vote Protector
Vote Protectors save votes. Our non-partisan Vote Protectors help thousands of voters across the state. Join the nation’s largest Election Protection program in monitoring voting sites and addressing voting problems in real time. Sign up for a training here, or learn more here.
#2 – Be an Elections Advocate
From ensuring good voting options before the election to making sure votes are counted fairly after the election through canvass training and provisional ballot chasing, our Elections Advocates are essential to making sure every vote counts. Elections advocates attend and monitor local Elections Boards and work with Democracy NC to prevent and address local voting issues. Sign up to be a volunteer for the 2024 canvass here!
#3 – Volunteer with the Voter Assistance Hotline
Our statewide voter assistance hotline (888-OUR-VOTE) is LIVE! If you’re a lawyer or have some familiarity with NC election law, help voters by answering questions about registering, casting ballots, and reporting voting problems. Learn more and sign up here!
#4 – VOLUNTEER – Virtually or in Person!
Democracy NC offers many ways to volunteer to reach voters – virtually or in-person across the state! Check out our user-friendly volunteering hub for all of the latest opportunities. From phone banks to data entry, there’s something for everyone!
#5 – SHARE Voter Education Materials
Are you a part of a local group or organization where you could pass out voter education information? The more you know about the races on your ballot, the less you leave blank! It’s important to read up on and fill out your ballot for ALL races. Remember you’re not just voting for the President – judicial and local elections can directly impact your life.
