State Board of Elections and Ethics (comparing county voter registrations with DMV data) with a 2018 report provided by the Budget and Tax Center of the preliminary estimates of the Voter ID costs to state and local governments and individuals, Democracy North Carolina has partnered with The Budget and Tax Center and Demos to provide a closer look at the high cost — both financial and human — of a proposed Voter ID Restriction Amendment on many North Carolina counties.*
