Want to protect elections at the local level?

Become a Democracy NC BOE Monitor!

The way voting laws are applied in North Carolina is often decided at the local level. Especially since the elimination of federal reporting requirements in 2013, we need to understand how the election system operates locally to make sure it works fairly. That means watching the actions of the County Board of Elections year round, attending its meetings (yes, sometimes they are boring), developing relationships with the members, and raising our voices at crucial times.
