Tell the NCGA: Do More to Provide Voting Access Amid COVID

The COVID-19 crisis has made it clear: this year’s elections will be different. Physical distancing, the prospect of a poll worker shortage, and strained local resources all have implications for the ways in which we can take part and be counted.

Given these new realities, it’s time for our elected officials to respond by protecting our access to the ballot.

Your state lawmakers return to Raleigh on April 28. Send them an email now (we’ve made it easy).

Tell them you want them to advance policies that would:

  • Fund safe and fair elections, including sanitary polling places

  • Prepare for more, and ensure broader access to, absentee voting by mail

  • Address the real threat of a poll worker shortage

In states like Wisconsin, we’re seeing how the failure to respond to these challenges can undermine an election and disenfranchise voters.

North Carolina can be different— together we can protect ourselves and our votes this fall.
