Democracy NC relies on state and local community leaders for guidance and support of our mission. We have made a conscious effort to build a diverse Board of Directors that reflects the demographic and geographic richness of North Carolina.
Potential new board members can submit an interest form and resume/CV (if you have one) and may progress through our process depending on how their skill set and qualifications match and meet the current needs of the board. The full application process includes an interview with our board governance chair and staff leadership.
**Please note, current elected officials and state or national party officers will not be considered to serve on the Board of Directors or on a committee of the Board of Directors.
Board members serve a three-year term, which may be renewed for one additional three-year term. New board members will participate in a board member orientation. These positions are voluntary and, therefore, unpaid.
